Asif Ali’s Daughter Breathe Last: Lost Battle Against Cancer

Cancer has again done something very cruel. The nefarious disease has taken another innocent life. This time, it is Noor Fatima, the 18-months old daughter of Pakistan cricket player Asif Ali.

Asif’s daughter was being treated in the United States. Two months ago, when Asif was departing for the limited – overs series in England, he tweeted thanking the US Embassy immediately issuing the visa to send his daughter to the US and asked his fans to pray for her.

Sadly, Noor surrendered to cancer last month. Asif was included in the final 15-Man World Cup squad, one day after the death of his daughter was announced.

Since his daughter’s demise, Ali has contributed impressively to Pakistan’s victory. First, he helped in sweep the series 4-0 against England, before the World Cup, scoring two fifties with a career best of 52 in the third ODI in Bristol.
